THE POSITION: The Coordinator III, Center for District Capacity Building, serves as a technical assistance provider and systems leader responsible for designing, facilitating, and supporting transformational improvement efforts with Local Educational Agencies (LEAs), charter schools, and county partners across Los Angeles County. Under the direction of the Project Director III, the Coordinator III partners with district and school leadership teams to build coherent educational systems that improve outcomes for all students through strategic planning, organizational capacity building, coaching, and continuous improvement. The Coordinator III provides customized, differentiated technical assistance by assessing district and school needs, facilitating leadership teams, coaching educational leaders, and developing responsive supports aligned to the California System of Support. The Coordinator III designs, develops, and continuously refines high-quality professional learning grounded in California s Multi-Tiered System of Support (CA MTSS), Improvement Science, Implementation Science, organizational change, and systems leadership. This position requires an individual who can translate complex educational research into practical, actionable strategies that build the internal capacity of educational leaders and support the development of coherent systems across an organization. Successful candidates are innovative self-starters who demonstrate strong leadership, initiative, and the ability to independently manage complex projects while building trusting relationships with district and charter leaders. They possess exceptional facilitation skills, think systemically, and are able to coach leaders toward creating coherent systems that align instructional, operational, and organizational practices to improve student outcomes. EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION: Experience: Five (5) or more years of comprehensive, directly related, and progressive school and district level administration experience, including a minimum of two (2) years of direct supervisory experience Demonstrated effective district and/or school leadership practices resulting in narrowing the achievement gap; supporting districts and/or school site leadership in implementing of effective instructional practices; engaging students and families; and developing and maintaining a positive school culture and climate Education: Equivalent of a Master s degree, or higher, in education or a closely related field from an institution of higher learning accredited by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation. LICENSE OR CERTIFICATE: (Please provide a copy of each credential document as it appears on the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing website with the document number on it.) • Possess a valid Clear California Administrative Credential and a valid K-12 teaching credential (Single or Multiple subject).
