Job SummaryWe are seeking an
Inventory Control Clerk to support inventory operations for a medical device manufacturing environment. The role is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory and ensuring materials are available to production lines in a timely manner.
The position supports the
Electrophysiology department, primarily working with medical device products used in minimally invasive heart procedures.
Key Responsibilities- Kit medical device production orders in a clean room environment by accurately counting and documenting components.
- Perform material movements and transfers both physically and systematically using SAP ERP.
- Create and process Goods Receipts in SAP.
- Assign materials to production orders and ensure inventory accuracy.
- Provide materials to production lines in a timely manner.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to meet production goals.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Follow company processes, procedures, and work instructions.
- Read and understand process documentation and regulated procedures.
- Communicate effectively with employees, customers, contractors, and vendors.
- Work independently while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Operate pallet jacks and other warehouse equipment as required.
- Follow all safety requirements and use appropriate PPE.
- Handle chemicals in designated areas after completing required training.
- Work overtime as required based on business needs.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications- Previous experience working in a clean room environment, preferably within medical device manufacturing.
- Hands-on experience with SAP, particularly:
- Material transfers/movements
- Production order kitting
- Goods Receipts
- Assigning materials to production orders
- Experience working with production inventory rather than warehouse-only picking.
- Ability to accurately follow detailed processes and work instructions.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office.
- Ability to work in both clean room and warehouse environments.
- Ability to read and comprehend process documentation and follow regulated procedures.
Preferred Qualifications- Medical device manufacturing experience.
- Clean room manufacturing experience.
- Experience with Windchill.
- Experience with other ERP systems.
- Experience supporting production orders and manufacturing operations.
Work Environment- Approximately 65 75% of the work is performed in a clean room.
- Remaining work is performed in a warehouse environment.
- Required clean room PPE includes gown, hairnet, beard net when applicable, shoe covers, gloves, and safety glasses. Masks may be required depending on the area.
- Safety shoes are required for certain warehouse activities involving equipment.
- All required PPE will be provided.
