Position OverviewThe Inventory Coordinator I is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory and ensuring materials are available to production teams in a timely manner. This position involves kitting medical device production orders, managing material movements in SAP, and supporting both cleanroom and warehouse operations.
The majority of the work will be performed in a cleanroom environment, with the remaining time spent in the warehouse transferring and managing materials.
Key Responsibilities- Kit medical device production orders in a cleanroom environment by accurately counting, documenting, and preparing components according to work orders.
- Perform physical and system-based material movements using SAP ERP.
- Process Goods Receipts and maintain accurate inventory records in SAP.
- Assign and transfer materials to production orders.
- Support production lines by ensuring required materials are available on time.
- Work in a warehouse environment using pallet jacks and other material-handling equipment.
- Follow all company procedures, work instructions, safety requirements, and regulated processes.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Communicate effectively with team members and cross-functional partners.
- Work independently while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Work overtime as required based on business needs.
- Handle chemicals in designated areas when required, following appropriate training and PPE requirements.
- Maintain positive and professional communication with employees, customers, contractors, and vendors.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications- Previous experience working in a cleanroom environment, preferably within medical device manufacturing.
- Hands-on experience using SAP, particularly for:
- Material transfers
- Kitting
- Production orders
- Goods Receipts
- Inventory transactions
- Experience supporting production operations rather than warehouse-only picking.
- Ability to accurately read, understand, and follow process documents and work instructions.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a cross-functional team.
- Basic Microsoft Office experience.
- Ability to work in both cleanroom and warehouse environments.
- Ability to safely operate pallet jacks and other warehouse equipment.
Preferred Qualifications- Medical device manufacturing experience.
- Experience assigning materials to production orders.
- Experience with other ERP systems.
- Windchill experience.
- Previous experience working in regulated manufacturing environments.
Work Environment & PPEApproximately
65 75% of the work is performed in a cleanroom, with the remainder in the warehouse.
Required cleanroom PPE may include:
- Gown
- Hairnet
- Beard net, if applicable
- Shoe covers
- Gloves
- Safety glasses
- Mask, when required
Safety shoes are required for certain warehouse activities involving equipment. Required PPE will be provided.
