- Perform analysis on Individual Education Plan (IEP)/ARD Documentation for individual students that have a School Health and Related Services (SHARS) session prior to submission for reimbursement to the District. Collaborate with all special education staff and administrative personnel for compliance purposes, while maintaining strict confidentiality and adhering to all HIPAA and FERPA guidelines and regulations
- Identify, develop, and conduct training for all district special education staff on campuses, at central locations and through technology for the implementation of the electronic documentation system used for processing Medicaid claims to the Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC)
- Analyze special education records for students receiving Special Education Related Services
for current medical prescriptions and completed evaluations before submitting student sessions for SHARS reimbursement.
- Review provider records for current licenses and certifications as required by HHSC.
- Design regular and ad hoc reports from large variety of data sources for specific reporting requirements from a multitude of end-users for compliance with ARD/IEP records.
- Develop systems and processes to track compliance with Federal, State, and Local guidelines for Special Education documentation and reporting guidelines.
- Monitor and report on the progress of end user session records for supervision requirements before session submissions to TMHP, and provide support to end users for compliance using documentation software.
- Visit campuses and departments to create needs assessments, provide training, and support end users with compliance and technological requirements.
- Keep abreast of technical, legislative, and professional trends and developments affecting the department's target populations and financial reporting requirements. Provide accountability to and collaborate with internal or external auditors.
- Maintain strict confidentiality while adhering to all HIPAA and FERPA guidelines and regulations.
- Performs all other tasks and duties as assigned by Director and/or Supervisor/Financial Manager.

Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, or Education
Three years of directly related experience or experience in some capacity of special education or business services
Experience with MS Office, and advanced Excel experience preferred
Demonstrated ability to analyze data or information and develop objectives and strategies as required to meet the goals of this position
Demonstrated ability to create a variety of complex financial and compliance reports, including reconciliations and other financial transaction summary reports
