Position Overview

The Human Resources Coordinator (Hourly Personnel Associate) supports both hourly and salaried employees by providing exceptional HR customer service, maintaining employee records, assisting with labor relations activities, and ensuring compliance with established policies and collective bargaining agreements. This role is critical to supporting workforce operations and fostering positive employee and union relations within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide timely and professional support to hourly and salaried employees regarding HR-related inquiries.
  • Assist employees, management, and union representatives with labor-related questions and issues.
  • Coordinate onboarding activities for new hires, including creation and maintenance of personnel records.
  • Maintain organized, accurate, and audit-compliant employee documentation.
  • Process and update hourly employee transactions and records accurately and efficiently.
  • Support the administration and interpretation of collective bargaining agreement (CBA) provisions related to job postings, promotions, payroll matters, and workforce administration.
  • Build and maintain positive union-management relationships.
  • Serve as a resource for policy administration and hourly personnel procedures.
  • Support workforce planning activities including hiring, layoffs, and unemployment processes.
  • Respond to requests from legal, retirement, and other business partners.
  • Assist the HR Labor Relations team with special projects and initiatives as needed.

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and Word.
  • Strong organizational and planning skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong interpersonal, problem-solving, and conflict-resolution abilities.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and within a team environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing, unionized, or labor relations environment.
  • Experience working with Human Capital Management (HCM) systems and Workforce One (WF1).
  • Knowledge of HR policies, procedures, and employee relations practices.
