The Coordinator functions as a grant officer and provides assistance in carrying out the mission of the Office of Sponsored Programs and Research (OSPR). This position aids in securing external funding opportunities, educating Ursuline College Campus and the Gannon University community about grant procedures, assisting them in the planning, preparation, and submission of grant proposals. The Coordinator supports all phases of grant operations, including clerical and administrative duties. Must be able to support and promote the University's Mission.
Required Qualifications
Education: A bachelor's degree is required.
Experience: Two or more years of grant-related experience.
Must possess the following skills: excellent written, verbal, proofreading and organizational skills; the ability to read written instructions and procedure manuals; the ability to enter data into records, logs and websites with accuracy; the ability to prioritize responsibilities, seek direction regarding courses of action; and the ability to research and compile qualitative and quantitative data. The ability to work independently and manage projects. The ability to be effective while reporting to a supervisor and divisional team that are positioned across multiple campuses.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in higher education is preferred.
