Pay range for this position is $38.70 - $57.78/hour. Actual pay is based on years of licensure. This is an Hourly position.

Overview:

POSITION SUMMARY: The Coordinator is a registered nurse and is responsible for the coordination of EMS within the emergency department, pre-hospital, and the region. Developing educational programs, policies, procedures, and monitoring the overall quality of care by networking, mentoring, developing quality indicators/ initiatives to ensure compliance with pediatric care for Emergency Department Approved Pediatrics (EDAP) and EMS requirements. The Coordinator is dedicated to quality of care based in evidence and the principle of delivering care appropriate to the patient population served. Fosters and maintains positive working relationships among regional resource hospitals, external personnel, physicians, hospital personnel, and external agencies to ensure appropriate rules, regulations, and audits are completed. The Coordinator of EMS and Pediatric Quality collaborates with stakeholders within the organization and the region to address any opportunities and/ or resolutions identified by regional and organizational stakeholders

Qualifications:

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

 

Education: ​Bachelors of Science in Nursing

Licenses/Certifications: BLS from the American Heart Association American Heart Association – ACLS, PALS

ENPC (Emergency Nurse Pediatric Course) must be obtained within six months of hire

ECRN (Emergency Communications Registered Nurse), TNS (Trauma Nurse Specialist) or TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) – must be obtained within the first year of employment

 

Experience: ​

3 years emergency department experience with strong knowledge of EMS operations and pediatric clinical care.

Other skills/knowledge: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Solid computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft software. Strong analytical and problem solving skills, with the ability to be detail oriented.

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Education: ​Masters of Science in Nursing

Other Skills/Knowledge: Knowledge of state administrative laws and regulations

Ability to speak and/or present to large groups.

Able to foster an environment of growth and sustain quality education related to EMS and Pediatrics.

Good organization skills, required to maintain records and documentation and ability to review, classify, categorize, and analyze data.
