Job Title: Coordinator , District Testing & Accountability Reports to: Director, Assessment and Evaluatio n Pay Grade: AD 02 Contract Days: 226 Wage/Hour Status: Exempt Funding Source: Local Revision Date: February 2024 Primary Purpose: An organized, efficient, effective leader who oversees the district' s local testing operations. You will assist the Director of Assessment and Evaluation with managing the portfolio of testing and testing operations for the entire district and work directly with campuses and campus testing coordinators to ensure fidelity of all assessments. You constantly look for ways to clarify procedures and processes. You are meticulous with data entry and minimize errors. You are a systems -builder, always focused on creating clear and efficient systems . Qualifications: Education/Certification: • Bachelor's degree in related field (Master's degree preferred) • Valid Texas teaching certificate (preferred) • Administrator certificate (preferred) Special Knowledge/Skills: • Test coordinator Experience • Knowledge of assessment and student learning • Up -to-date knowledge of the state and federal testing and accountability systems Up -to-date knowledge of stan dardized testing • Ability to interpret data • Ability to develop databases to display graphs and metrics • Skilled in data analysis and assimilation • Strong communication, public relations, and interpersonal skills • Strong presentation skills to large audiences • Knowledge of testing platforms including Test hound Experience: • Minimum three years' experience as a classroom teacher • Direct experience with campus and district level testing Major Responsibilities and Duties: • Oversee local, state, and federal assessments, including STAAR, NWEA MAP, TELPAS, SAT Suite of Assessments, NAEP, etc. in accordance with TEA and district guidelines . • Support the Director of Assessment and Evaluation to implement a system for assessment security and document the security protocols for local, state, and federal assessments and train all relevant parties to execute those protocols with fidelity . • Train and provide support related to testing requirements for campus test coordinators, principals, and other relevant parties . • Provide administrative leadership in the development and implementation of designated function areas . • Provide report comparison and trend data from all testing results . • Maintain u p to date on trends in the testing field and TEA guidance as it relates to assessments and testing . • Coordinate online testing and work collaboratively with the Instructional Technology team. • Possess in -depth knowledge of special education assessments, eli gibility criteria, appropriate use of assessment results and legal issues . • Knowledge of other test related programs as used by the district, state, or testing entities . • Implement the policies established by federal and state law, State Board of Education rule, and local board policy in curriculum and instruction area . • Develop and implement record -keeping procedures to keep data as required . • Other duties, as assigned . Supervisory Responsibilities: None, works closely with Campus Testing Coordinators Working Conditions: Mental Demands/Physical Demands/Environmental Factors: Must maintain emotional control and exercise reasoning and problem solving skills while under stress. Must demonstrate ability to communicate effectively (verbal and written). Should be able to interpret procedures and analyze data for decision -making. Frequent in -district and occasional in -state or national travel. Occasional prolonged and irregular hours. Safety: Contribute to the prevention of accidents and injuries by observing safety rules and District policy, practicing the principles and skills taught in safety training, wearing personal prot ective equipment as required, reporting injuries and incidences immediately to supervisor, and being proactive in the ongoing efforts to improve and maintain workplace safety.
