Summary
The Department of Anesthesiology at Baylor College of Medicine is currently seeking a highly motivated and competent professional to work as a Coordinator, Business Operations in a team-based clinical office setting. The primary responsibilities of this role are to provide administrative support to clinical faculty and operations. This administrative support includes credentialing, faculty recruiting, onboarding, assistance with travel and expense reporting, and other academic functions. Additionally, this position requires the coordination of daily schedule activities, phone assignments, routing of calls, information gathering and distribution. The ideal candidate for this role must possess excellent team-working skills and be willing to assist team members when required.
This position may offer the flexibility of a hybrid work schedule after an initial training period.
Job Duties
Administrative Coordination & Support
Coordinates faculty travel arrangements and processes travel and expense reports through Concur.
Maintains and tracks CME/CEU balances for assigned faculty.
Serves as the primary contact for the department''s main phone line by:
Answering and screening incoming calls.
Routing messages to appropriate personnel.
Maintaining accurate department contact lists.
Coordinates faculty calendars and scheduling activities with departmental coordinators and affiliated hospital partners.
Obtains required signatures on critical documents and ensure timely delivery to appropriate stakeholders.
Manages administrative tasks including:
Filing and document management.
Faxing and correspondence preparation.
Mail retrieval and distribution at BTGH.
Performs additional administrative and operational duties as assigned.
Credentialing Support
Provides credentialing support for:
New faculty providers.
Locum tenens and temporary providers.
Coordinates, monitors, and maintains recredentialing and reappointment activities for assigned faculty.
Ensures credentialing records remain current and compliant with institutional requirements.
Collaborates with internal and external stakeholders to resolve credentialing-related issues.
Assists with other credentialing functions and special projects as assigned.
