Job Summary:
The BMT Coordinator Assistant position supports the mission of TriStar Centennial Medical Center of optimizing the quality of life of all those served by expanding beyond the traditional focus on medical needs to the needs of the whole person. The BMT Coordinator Assistant performs receptionist and secretarial functions for the departments while supporting the organizations mission, goals, values and ethics.
What you will do in this role:
Ability to operate a computer
Promotes customer service initiatives
Answers telephone promptly and appropriately
Performs scheduling of BMT patient testing and procedures
Obtains all test results and compiles in patient binders for coordinators
Obtains and organizes new patient information.
Faxes all applicable information to BMT team distribution groups
Follows directions as necessary to ensure the workflow of the department
Supports the facility’s Standards of Performance and ICARE values
Maintains knowledge and follows all CMS and JCAHO requirements
Other duties as assigned
What qualifications you will need:
Medical Assistant certification preferred.
Some post high-school training including medical terminology and knowledge of diagnostic testing.
Medical Assistant, Unit Secretary or other equivalent experience preferred
