Coordinator, Background - (Temporary Assignment)

JOB SUMMARY:

Supports the Background Investigations department by fingerprinting all new hire applicants and by maintaining and processing all Background Investigations files.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Performs fingerprinting on all new hire applicants – and some existing team members. Fingerprints are submitted through electronic submission to FDLE and FBI.
• Perform all data entry and maintains all Background Investigations files. Must assure accuracy of all documents, paperwork and files.
• Provides direction to the HR Recruitment teams regarding applicants who disclose criminal history. Assist Background Investigator with interviewing applicants to obtain information regarding criminal history.
• Verify validity of all social security numbers through the SSA. Verify motor vehicle records for new hire applicants and active employees,
• Provides administrative support, direction, guidance, and/or training to the Background Investigations Department.
• Understands and actively participates in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy, procedures, training and team member involvement activities.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

SCOPE:

Moderately routine; general policies applied. Some decision-making. Highest level of confidentiality and maintaining the highest degree of tact.

EDUCATION:

• High school degree or GED required
• Technical school or Bachelor’s Degree preferred

EXPERIENCE:

• 0-1 year: experience preferred
• 0-2 year: experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• A background check is mandatory and results must meet Universal Orlando’s background check criteria.
