    Job Title:

    Coordinator, Academic Services, Regional Campus

    Physical Location:

     Geauga Campus -  Burton, OH and Twinsburg Academic Center - Twinsburg, OH

    Salary:

     $46,977 - $53,386

    Basic Function:

    To coordinate developmental education and orientation programs and services at a regional campus; to provide academic support to students; to coordinate services provided to students with disabilities. Reports to designated supervisor.

    Examples of Duties:

    Duties/essential functions may include, but not be limited to, the following: 

    Direct and evaluate developmental education programs and services at a regional campus.

    Schedule and coordinate developmental education courses; may teach orientation and/or developmental education courses.

    Supervise and administer entrance exams, placement tests, and skills assessments; record, report, and summarize results.

    Provide academic advising and scheduling assistance; monitor student progress.

    Oversee and coordinate tutorial services; may select and train tutors; consult faculty and program directors to determine skills needed for academic success and develop academic support services to meet those needs.

    Coordinate and provide services and accommodations for students with disabilities.

    Serve as campus resource and provide information on effective teaching and learning, assessment of learning, working with students with disabilities, etc.

    May supervise students and/or provide functional guidance of support staff or other employees who work on a project or assignment on a temporary or intermittent basis.

    Perform related duties as assigned.

    Additional Examples of Duties – if applicable:

     

    Minimum Qualifications:

    Master's degree in a relevant field; two years experience in teaching developmental education or relevant area.

    Knowledge Of:

    Local, state, and federal laws and regulations regarding students with disabilities; academic programs; academic testing procedures; personal computer applications

    Skill In:

    Written and interpersonal communication

    Ability To:

    Provide academic counseling
