    Coordinate Measuring Machine Programmer & Metrology Analyst

    Location: Tecumseh, MI | Employer: Integrated Talent Strategies (ITS)

    You start your shift by loading a new program to validate a launch-critical component. By mid-morning, you’re translating CMM results into AIAG format with the Quality Specialist, and after lunch you’re calibrating a new fixture and updating the inventory so the team can find it on day one. This is a typical day for our CMM expert—part programmer, part problem-solver, and fully committed to world-class dimensional quality.

    What You’ll Do

    • Develop and run Direct Computer Control (D.C.C.) CMM programs for part and fixture layouts.
    • Calibrate new fixtures and new precision measuring instruments; document results and maintain records.
    • Create labels for new fixtures, assign storage locations, and keep the fixture inventory current.
    • Retire and move obsolete fixtures/measuring instruments to storage with proper traceability.
    • Contribute to fixture design reviews, offering data-driven improvement recommendations.
    • Summarize CMM findings and convert results into AIAG format in collaboration with the Quality Specialist.
    • Prepare parts and documentation to meet GP6 requirements; complete reports per procedure.
    • Produce PPAP layouts, as well as customer- and plant-requested layouts for improvement activities.
    • Execute annual dimensional layouts per established procedures.
    • Conduct capability and statistical studies according to quality system requirements.
    • Serve on the Internal Audit Team and support Lab activities as needed.
    • Collaborate across teams; assist team members and handle other duties as assigned by management.
    • Promote a safe, clean, and comfortable workplace aligned with the Occupational Health and Safety Act and the 5S principles (simplify, separate, sanitize, standardize, support).

    What You Bring

    • Hands-on experience programming and operating CMMs.
    • Deep knowledge of GD&T and expert blueprint/engineering drawing interpretation.
    • Understanding of calibration practices for fixtures and precision metrology equipment.
    • Background in automotive quality systems and manufacturing; stamping and welding knowledge is a plus.

    Skills That Set You Apart

    • Working knowledge of IATF 16949 and ISO 14001 systems.
    • Fluency in manufacturing and quality processes, with sharp analytical and troubleshooting abilities.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Project, and CAD tools.
    • Clear written and verbal communication; confident presentations.
    • Sound technical judgment, organized work style, and attention to detail.
    • Ability to prioritize and deliver in a fast-paced production environment; strong team collaboration.

    Education

    • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline.
