Submit your application for the opportunity below: Coord Laboratory Asst Job Summary and Qualifications The Laboratory Assistant Coordinator position supports the mission of HCA of optimizing the quality of life of all those served by expanding beyond the traditional focus on medical needs to the needs of the whole person. You will be responsible for the efficient organization and effectiveness of the Laboratory Specimen Desk, Reception Area, and specimen procurement. The Laboratory Assistant Coordinator shall integrate current scientific knowledge with technical competency, which relates to the Laboratory Department. You shall have strong leadership skills and good interpersonal skills. You will answer the telephone, answering questions regarding the specimen collection and time elements, interfacing between other hospitals, hospital departments, physicians, medical offices, and reference You will answer the telephone, answer questions regarding the specimen collection and time elements, interfere with other hospitals, hospital departments, physicians, medical offices, and reference laboratories, obtain blood specimens, provide quality service, and perform general laboratory duties What qualifications you will need: High School diploma or GED required Two years' experience in a hospital laboratory or clinical/outpatient setting requited Ability to prioritize test results and communication of results. Ability to use computer to enter and locate specimens and test results, ability to follow up on any problems locating samples or results. Ability to address billing questions and problems.
