Southmont is the skilled nursing community on our Washington, PA campus. Our modern, home-like atmosphere provides a comfortable and secure healing environment. Arranged as neighborhoods, our skilled nursing areas offer a wide range of care programs and services for those in need of long-term care. Expert registered nurses, licensed practical nurses, certified nursing assistants, and social workers partner with residents, their families, and their doctors to provide personalized care plans. Southmont also provides short-term rehabilitation that can include physical, occupational, and/or speech therapies
The Cook is responsible for proper preparation of large quantities of food items for residents, staff, and visitors of the community. The position serves as assistant to the chef or Head cookoperating a full-service commercial kitchen will occasionally provide supervision to staff in the absence of the dining services Director

Requirements for the Cook:
- Minimum of one year of large quantity cooking experience
- Serve safe certification preferred
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as procedure manuals and operating instructions, and to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions, percentages, and volume.

The Presbyterian SeniorCare Story
From a quiet, humble beginning as the Presbyterian Home in January of 1928, Presbyterian SeniorCare has emerged as western Pennsylvania's largest provider of care and services to older adults (Pittsburgh Business Times, January 2012).
Our organization offers a multitude of care and living options, including our world-renowned Woodside Place, dedicated to serving people with Alzheimer's and other related dementias; adult day services; at-home care coordination, personal care; rehabilitation services, skilled nursing care, in-home private duty non-medical services, hospice and palliative care; affordable and supportive housing and premier independent retirement living.
The telling of our story would not be complete without our ongoing commitment to excellence, confirmed through our multiple accreditations and reaccreditations by CARF-CCAC. Presbyterian SeniorCare was the first eldercare provider in Pennsylvania and the third in the nation to receive independent third-party accreditation as an Aging Services Network (ASN) in 2006.
In 2011 we were honored to achieve reaccreditation as an ASN and for our Continuing Care Retirement Community, Longwood at Oakmont, which was first accredited in 2001.
