Job Summary and Qualifications The Food and Nutrition Services Cook assist s in the preparation of cooked foods for our patients, visitor s and colleagues. Under direct supervision of t he Executive Chef/Food Service Director, the Line Cook provides food that is safe, unadulter at ed, and attractive, that is prepared within the food safety guidelines . Hospital nutrition services ensure that all patients are fed according to their dietary needs and restrictions. Your food service experience and commitment to service, safety and professionalism will contribute to a positive experience for our patients, visitors and colleagues. What you will do in this role: You will prepare, season and cook food for hospital patients, employees and visitors. You will p rac tice excellent food sa fety and sanitation procedures while working within the requirements of regulatory agencies. You will a ssists with special events and catering functions. You will serves on tray line and work as salad/sandwich cook and grill cook when needed. What Qualifications You Will Need: Food Handler's Permit OR ServSafe Certificate required within 30 days of hire. A minimum of one year cooking experience with quantities of 100 or greater.
