Job DescriptionCookLocation: Pine Knot, KYEmployment Type: Full-TimePay Rate: $17.75/hr + $5.09 Health & WellnessSchedule:Thursday - Monday 9:00 am -5:30 pm and days off will be Tuesday and Wednesday Position Summary:The Cook prepares and serves nutritious meals for students and staff at the Job Corps center, ensuring compliance with food safety standards and supporting the overall wellness of the student community.Key Responsibilities:Prepare, cook, and serve meals according to established menus and dietary guidelinesMaintain cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen, dining, and storage areasFollow portion control and food safety procedures in compliance with health regulationsAssist with menu planning and inventory rotationProvide a positive dining experience that supports student health and moraleQualifications:Valid Food Handler's Permit (required)Prior experience in institutional, cafeteria, or commercial food serviceKnowledge of safe food handling practices and sanitation standardsAbility to work flexible shifts, including evenings and weekendsJob Corps Culture & Work Environment:At Job Corps, every meal is more than food - it's fuel for student success.
