Cooks needed ASAP | $14-$17/hr. DOE

Day shift – 5am-1:30pm

An established catering company in the Orange City, IA area is hiring cooks, prep cooks, grille cooks, and weekend cooks to join their growing team! As a cook, you will work on a team to make the best food they can with authentic recipes. You will work cooperatively as a valued member of the dining services team, assisting with any aspect of the dining services program necessary. If you are enthusiastic about cooking and serving people, then this is the job for you!

Responsibilities:

• Time food production such that all food is ready at the time of service.
• Prepare food items according to established recipes and menus in a way that preserves food freshness, quality and appeal.
• Utilize batch cooking techniques to avoid over or under production.
• Maintain a safe, tidy and well-organized work environment at all times.
• Support other kitchen employees in assuring that the essential functions of the kitchen are performed adequately and appropriately.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 2 years cooking experience preferred
• High School diploma or equivalent preferred
• ServSafe Certification preferred.
