    Description

    Golden Chick Cooks are responsible for preparing and cooking quality food in accordance with company recipes, food safety standards, and operational procedures. This position ensures food is prepared efficiently, maintains a clean and organized kitchen, and works with the team to provide guests with a high-quality dining experience.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Prepare, cook, and assemble menu items according to company recipes and quality standards.
    • Operate kitchen equipment, including fryers, grills, ovens, and other food preparation equipment safely and efficiently.
    • Prepare ingredients and complete daily food prep to ensure product availability throughout each shift.
    • Monitor food quality, portion sizes, cooking times, and product freshness.
    • Follow all food safety, sanitation, and health regulations.
    • Maintain proper food storage, labeling, and inventory rotation using the first-in, first-out (FIFO) method.
    • Keep kitchen workstations, equipment, and storage areas clean and organized.
    • Restock food products, ingredients, and kitchen supplies as needed.
    • Work efficiently with cashiers and other team members to ensure orders are prepared accurately and in a timely manner.
    • Assist with opening and closing kitchen duties, including cleaning equipment and preparing the kitchen for the next shift.
    • Report equipment malfunctions or food quality concerns to management.
    • Perform other duties as assigned by management.

    Qualifications:

    • Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment while maintaining quality and accuracy.
    • Knowledge of basic food safety and sanitation practices.
    • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
    • Dependable, punctual, and able to work effectively as part of a team.
    • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow recipes and procedures.
    • Previous cooking or restaurant experience is preferred but not required.
