How You Will Make a Difference- Prepare hot and cold food items according to standardized recipes and patient diet orders.
- Follow food safety procedures, maintain temperature logs, and ensure proper allergen controls.
- Work closely with Dietary Aides to ensure accurate tray assembly and timely meal delivery.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe kitchen environment.
- Assist with inventory, food storage, and ordering as needed.
- Flex between units and shifts to help meet staffing and operational needs.
- Quickly learn new routines, menus, and procedures while maintaining quality and consistency.
- Build positive rapport with patients and team members while supporting a respectful, recovery-focused environment.
What We’re Looking For- 2+ years of cooking experience; healthcare or institutional food-service experience preferred.
- ServSafe or equivalent food-safety certification preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to food quality and safety.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Dependable, flexible, and willing to support different shifts and team needs.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
- Compassionate and professional approach when working in a behavioral health setting.
