Cook Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve meals according to menu guidelines, ensuring residents' nutritional needs are met
- Assist with ordering food and supplies as needed
- Monitor and record food temperatures; verify quality prior to service
- Maintain organized inventory by properly sorting, labeling, and dating food and supplies
- Uphold a clean and safe kitchen environment through proper sanitation and waste disposal practices
- Oversee the sanitation of kitchen areas, equipment, and food service spaces
- Update and maintain menu boards for residents
- Support the Food Service Manager with hiring, onboarding, training, and supervising dietary staff

Cook Qualifications
- MN Food Protection Manager certificate preferred
- Must be able to communicate both verbally and in writing
- One year experience as a cook preparing food in a long-term care setting preferred
- Ability to wok as a team member and resolve problem situations constructively
- Experience working with seniors preferred
