Cook – Assisted Living

We are seeking a dependable and experienced Cook to join an assisted living dining services team. The Cook will prepare nutritious and appealing meals for residents while following established recipes, menus, dietary requirements, food safety standards, and sanitation procedures.

The ideal candidate enjoys working with seniors, takes pride in preparing quality meals, and understands the importance of providing respectful and compassionate service in a senior living environment.

• Prepare and cook meals according to established menus and recipes.
• Follow portion sizes, meal schedules, and food preparation guidelines.
• Prepare ingredients by washing, cutting, chopping, measuring, and portioning.
• Prepare meals according to residents' dietary needs and restrictions.
• Ensure food is prepared and served at appropriate temperatures.
• Maintain high standards of food quality, taste, and presentation.
• Follow all food safety, sanitation, and health regulations.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen and food preparation area.
• Properly label, store, and rotate food and ingredients.
• Monitor inventory and communicate supply needs to management.
• Assist with meal service and dining room preparation as needed.
• Work collaboratively with dietary, kitchen, and care staff.
• Provide courteous and respectful service to residents.
• Follow facility policies and procedures.
• Perform other kitchen duties as assigned.
