Conveyor Belting Shop Associate

Madden Industrial Craftsmen is seeking a Conveyor Belting Shop Associate for our client in Portland, OR 97230. The successful candidate will bring strong mechanical aptitude and precise measuring skills to keep belting projects moving efficiently from the shop floor to delivery. This position would be well suited to carpenters or ironworkers looking for a new trade.

Pay & Schedule

Pay: $25–$30/hr, DOE

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM–4:30 PM.

Responsibilities

• Operate a forklift to load and unload materials.

• Perform lightweight conveyor belt splicing using trained methods.

• Measure and cut belting material to exact specifications.

• Maintain efficiency and organization throughout the warehouse.

• Drive a company vehicle to complete deliveries and pickups as needed.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license, required to operate a company vehicle for deliveries and pickups.

• Ability to operate a forklift.

• Proficiency with a tape measure and precise measuring skills.

• Ability to operate hand and power tools.

• Ability to work independently.

• Requires a pre-employment drug screening and background check.

Work Environment

This role is based in a loud, dusty shop environment with moving machinery and equipment, and work may take place both indoors and outdoors.
