Provides customer service by acknowledging and welcoming customers as they enter the store in a friendly and courteous manner, providing customers with information and assistance as needed, entering customer purchases in point-of-sale system, collecting, counting and processing payments following established procedures, bagging or boxing purchases for customers, issuing refunds according to established procedures, and thanking customers for their business upon departure.- 50%Maintains a clean and safe facility by cleaning, stocking and organizing store shelves, counters, walk-in coolers and cashier stations, displaying products in a visually appealing manner, keeping aisle ways free of debris and obstacles, mopping floors, disposing of trash and cleaning trashcans, cleaning and monitoring sidewalks, parking areas, fuel dispensers, and canopy areas, and observing health, regulatory and safety policies and procedures.- 30%Provides accounting of transactions by opening cashier station according to established procedure, ensuring opening drawer cash count is correct and adequate change is available, processing all transactions accurately, closing cashier station according to established procedure, calculating total cash payments received, balancing and reconciling closing drawer with cash sales, preparing cash and credit receipts for deposit, and reporting unresolved discrepancies to the Store Manager.- 20%
