    Controls Technician III – Tucson, AZ – $32–$36/hr+ (DOE)

    A leading mechanical and building systems contractor is looking for an experienced Controls Technician III to support growing project demand in the Tucson region. This role is ideal for a controls professional with strong HVAC systems knowledge and hands-on programming experience who is seeking long-term stability, competitive pay, and excellent benefits.

    Position Details:

    • Title: Controls Technician III
    • Location: Tucson, AZ
    • Status: Full-Time | Project-Based Travel

    Ideal Candidate Qualifications:

    • 5+ years of experience installing, servicing, or maintaining HVAC control systems
    • Niagara AX or N4 Certification – required
    • Proficiency in BACnet controls programming – required
    • Experience with HVAC commissioning, start-up, and controls troubleshooting
    • Strong customer communication and ability to deliver projects with high-quality outcomes

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Program, commission, and validate building automation control systems
    • Support project closeout, documentation, and reporting requirements
    • Participate in weekly production and scheduling meetings
    • Assist with project planning, coordination, and execution across job sites
    • Manage submittals, O&M manuals, and other required project documents
    • Coordinate subcontractor activities and communicate project expectations
    • Resolve field issues promptly and maintain clear communication with stakeholders
    • Track project costs and monthly performance projections
    • Ensure compliance with company safety standards and project procedures

    Offered Compensation & Benefits:

    • Hourly Rate: $32–$36/hr (DOE; higher rates available for top performers)
