A leading mechanical and building systems contractor is looking for an experienced
Controls Technician III to support growing project demand in the Tucson region.
This role is ideal for a controls professional with strong HVAC systems knowledge and hands-on
programming experience who is seeking long-term stability, competitive pay, and excellent benefits.
Position Details:
- Title: Controls Technician III
- Location: Tucson, AZ
- Status: Full-Time | Project-Based Travel
Ideal Candidate Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience installing, servicing, or maintaining HVAC control systems
- Niagara AX or N4 Certification – required
- Proficiency in BACnet controls programming – required
- Experience with HVAC commissioning, start-up, and controls troubleshooting
- Strong customer communication and ability to deliver projects with high-quality outcomes
Key Responsibilities:
- Program, commission, and validate building automation control systems
- Support project closeout, documentation, and reporting requirements
- Participate in weekly production and scheduling meetings
- Assist with project planning, coordination, and execution across job sites
- Manage submittals, O&M manuals, and other required project documents
- Coordinate subcontractor activities and communicate project expectations
- Resolve field issues promptly and maintain clear communication with stakeholders
- Track project costs and monthly performance projections
- Ensure compliance with company safety standards and project procedures
Offered Compensation & Benefits:
- Hourly Rate: $32–$36/hr (DOE; higher rates available for top performers)
