Controls Team Lead - Specialized Engineering

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Guides team of Controls Technical Lead Specialized Machines and performs supervisory tasks including scheduling, review and approval of timecards, time-off requests, expense reports, and performance management activities (with support of manager).Leads the design, development, and commissioning of control systems using PLCs to meet project requirements. The Controls Team Lead Specialized Engineering supervises a team of Controls Technical Lead Specialized Machines to design and integrate controls systems for industrial material-handling solutions and production lines.

The Controls Team Lead Specialized Engineering supervises a team of Controls Technical Lead Specialized Machines to design and integrate controls systems for industrial material-handling solutions and production lines. This position works closely with the other Controls Team Leads and reports to the Manager of Controls Commissioning. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Guides team of Controls Technical Lead Specialized Machines and performs supervisory tasks including scheduling, review and approval of timecards, time-off requests, expense reports, and performance management activities (with support of manager).Leads the design, development, and commissioning of control systems using PLCs to meet project requirements.Writes and debugs Controls applications to ensure proper functioning of control systems.Create Descriptions of Operations for material handling solutions based on customer requirements.Manages integration of prototype solutions and creates handover documentation to transition knowledge to Controls Commissioning Engineers.Provides support for installed systems, performing preventative maintenance and implementing system upgrades as required.Creates and maintains documentation of controls activities.Travels to projects both domestically and internationally.Performs other duties as assigned.
