Salary Range: $40- $45 an hour on W2 /C2C

We are seeking a Controls System Engineer with hands-on experience in PLC-based control systems, particularly Rockwell Automation ControlLogix and Studio 5000. The ideal candidate will have experience designing, programming, troubleshooting, and supporting industrial automation and manufacturing control systems.

Required Technical Skills

  • Strong experience with Rockwell Automation ControlLogix system design.
  • Proficiency in PLC programming using Rockwell Studio 5000.
  • Experience with ladder logic, motion control, and safety programming.
  • Proficiency in Rockwell HMI programming using FactoryTalk View Studio.
  • Understanding of PLC hardware, industrial communication protocols, sensors, and actuators.
  • Experience supporting and troubleshooting PLC-based hardware and software.
  • Knowledge of machine safety systems.
  • Experience with Siemens Step 7 or other Siemens PLC platforms is preferred.
  • Knowledge of Function Block and Structured Text programming is a plus.

  • Robotic Systems: FANUC, Nachi
  • Vision Systems: Cognex, Keyence, Coherix
  • CNC: FANUC PMC ladder programming
  • Industrial networking, PLC communication, and control-system architecture
  • Manufacturing automation and production equipment

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, implement, and maintain industrial control systems.
  • Develop and execute bench tests to validate control-system functionality.
  • Program and troubleshoot PLC, HMI, motion, and safety systems.
  • Modify software and equipment to ensure sensors, actuators, and control devices operate according to specifications.
  • Install, configure, troubleshoot, and provide technical support for PLC-based hardware and software.
  • Diagnose complex controls issues and implement corrective actions and change requests.
  • Support PLC, HMI, and MES programming changes.
  • Collaborate with electrical, mechanical, manufacturing, and other engineering disciplines to improve plant processes and equipment.
  • Work with equipment suppliers to establish and maintain programming, networking, architecture, hardware, and documentation standards.
  • Support plant transformation initiatives across RMEP, CEP, and CMEP, particularly within Assembly and Machining areas.
  • Provide production support and troubleshoot automation issues as required.
  • Coach and mentor less-experienced Controls Engineers.
  • Ensure control-system designs and modifications comply with applicable safety and engineering standards.
