POSITION: Controls Service Technician III

SUMMARY:
General Responsibilities:
The Controls Service Technician III handles job start-up, checkout, and troubleshooting for systems and service installed jobs. Performs control service-related duties, including service agreement tasks and handles emergency calls as directed.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
60% Performs controls system inspections, service, and troubleshooting.
20% Provides customer service by responding to service calls to build and maintain customer relationships.
20% Provides technical assistance and training as needed.

Physical Requirements
Requires frequent standing, walking, climbing of stairs or ladders, bending, squatting, or twisting. Requires the ability to carry, lift, move or push up to 100 pounds on a regular basis. Must be able to talk and listen to others. Frequent use of manual dexterity and visualization of a computer screen throughout the day. Requires ability to see up close and distant, distinguish colors, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
Work Environment
This position may regularly work in all types of indoor and outdoor conditions including near moving mechanical parts, in high, precarious places, extreme heat, cold and humidity. Position may also be at risk of electrical shock. Occasional exposure to toxic or caustic fumes or chemicals. Noise levels range from moderate to very loud.
Most of the job duties require the employee to be working on HVAC equipment in close quarters. Most testing is done with the equipment operating, creating noise and air movement. Many of our customer facilities have unfavorable environmental conditions.
