Job Title: Controls Manager/Engineer

Location: Auburn Hills, MI (Onsite)

Position Overview
The Controls Manager will be responsible for supporting the global planning, execution, and coordination of Controls and Software Platform solutions. This role will serve as the primary liaison between propulsion systems and controls engineering teams while driving feature development, program execution, quality, and risk management activities.

Key Responsibilities
Provide feasibility assessments and cost evaluations for Controls & Software solutions.
Act as the primary interface between Controls Systems and Propulsion Engineering teams.
Coordinate Controls Feature development and implementation.
Define feature rollout plans aligned with vehicle program milestones.
Lead Controls & Software change management activities.
Drive quality improvements and risk mitigation initiatives.
Lead and mentor controls engineering teams.
Ensure rigorous validation of control functions throughout the vehicle development lifecycle.
Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to deliver innovative controls technologies.
Champion continuous process improvement across controls engineering practices.

Required Qualifications
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
Minimum 5 years of engineering experience.
Minimum 2 years of automotive industry experience.
Experience working with complex systems and delivering robust technical solutions.
Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
Ability to thrive in Agile development environments.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Prior experience as a:
Controls Engineer
Controls Software Developer
Calibration Engineer
Validation/Test Engineer
Hands-on experience with:
MATLAB/Simulink
Stateflow
Embedded C
Software testing and validation
Calibration activities
Familiarity with software development tools and debugging techniques.
