Job Details

What You'll Do

• Design, develop, program, troubleshoot, and improve industrial control systems and automated manufacturing equipment
• Develop and modify PLC programs, HMI applications, and machine controls
• Support the launch, commissioning, debugging, and optimization of new production equipment
• Troubleshoot electrical, controls, instrumentation, and automation issues to minimize downtime
• Work closely with manufacturing, maintenance, electrical, mechanical, quality, and process engineering teams
• Develop and implement controls improvements that increase safety, quality, throughput, and equipment reliability
• Support equipment integration, robotics, vision systems, motion control, and other automation technologies
• Participate in new equipment design, build, installation, and production launch activities
• Assist with root-cause analysis and develop permanent corrective actions for recurring equipment issues
• Create and maintain electrical schematics, controls documentation, programming standards, and technical documentation
• Work with equipment suppliers and integrators on controls development, debugging, and acceptance
• Support continuous improvement initiatives across highly automated manufacturing processes
• Provide hands-on technical support when production challenges arise

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Controls Engineering, Automation Engineering, or a related technical discipline
• Experience with industrial controls and automated manufacturing equipment
• Strong PLC programming and troubleshooting experience
• Experience with Allen-Bradley / Rockwell Automation controls is highly valued
• Experience with HMI development and industrial communication networks
• Ability to read and troubleshoot electrical schematics and control panels
• Experience supporting manufacturing equipment from development through production
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Comfortable working directly with equipment on the manufacturing floor
• Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills

Experience That Will Stand Out
Experience with any of the following is a plus:

• Robotics and robotic programming
• Servo systems and motion control
• Vision systems
• VFDs and motor controls
• Ethernet/IP and industrial networking
• Safety PLCs and machine safety systems
• Ignition, FactoryTalk, or similar HMI/SCADA platforms
• Automated assembly and material-handling systems
• Automotive manufacturing
• PLC programming in Structured Text, Ladder Logic, or similar
• Equipment commissioning and production launches
• Continuous improvement / Lean Manufacturing
