Strivector s premier client (a well-known market leader in their space) is hiring for the following full-time direct hire position.
POSITION OVERVIEW
As a Controls Engineer, your roles and responsibilities will include:
- Supporting plant leadership in achieving business and financial goals through robust testing and assembly processes.
- Supporting the design, development, fabrication, validation, installation, and troubleshooting of production equipment and programs.
- Developing testing protocols, test data collection programs, and best practices.
- Supporting and troubleshooting controls for production equipment, test equipment, and electrical systems.
- Developing interfaces between SQL databases and production systems.
- Developing test equipment specifications and identifying potential safety hazards.
- Performing root cause and failure analysis.
- Guiding capital equipment selection and developing Capital Appropriation Requests.
- Leading or co-leading cost-out initiatives using Lean and Six Sigma tools.
- Improving controls information systems and reducing waste associated with factory-floor test information.
- Leading projects and executing sustained change management within manufacturing operations.
QUALIFICATIONS
Most importantly, you need to be a passionate Controls Engineer who enjoys his work and is considered to be one of the best within your organization. The ideal Controls Engineer would be someone with deep experience in many (if not all) of the following:
- Bachelor s degree in Engineering from an accredited institution.
- Minimum of 5 years of Controls/Test Engineering experience.
- Visual Basic/Visual Studio and SQL experience.
- Rockwell Software including RSLogix 5, RSLogix 500, RSLogix 5000, Studio 5000, FactoryTalk View ME, and FactoryTalk SE.
- PLC and HMI programming experience.
- Understanding of safety systems design.
- Electrical testing procedures and protocols.
- Electrical equipment at component and integrated system levels.
- NFPA 70E and Electrical Safe Work practices.
- Troubleshooting electrical control, protection, instrumentation, and metering schematics.
- Engineered-to-Order (ETO) manufacturing experience preferred.
- Project management experience preferred.
- Green Belt or Black Belt certification preferred.
- Ability to work independently and effectively within a team-oriented environment.
- Ability to resolve electrical design, equipment, installation, and production issues.
