    Description

    We are seeking a skilled and motivated Controls Engineer to join our team. This role is ideal for an experienced professional who is passionate about industrial automation and control systems, with a strong focus on PLCs, HMIs, and a working knowledge of robot programming. This position offers the opportunity to work on cutting-edge industrial automation projects across various sectors, providing solutions that drive innovation and efficiency.
     
    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
    1. Perform higher level programming for interfacing with databases for data logging and machine recipe selection and modification
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including mechanical and electrical engineering to deliver fully integrated automation systems
    • Develop control system documentation, including I/O lists, system layouts, and technical manuals.
    • Perform on-site installation, commissioning, and support of control systems and automation equipment.
    • Travel up to 25% for equipment installation, commissioning, and customer support
    1. Capture and document all changes and modifications throughout the course of a project.
    QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
    • BS degree in electrical engineering, mechatronics, computer science, or computer engineering
    • 5+ years of experience in creating and testing PLC / HMI and Motion applications. An associate degree with 7+ years of experience will also be considered. Other experience levels will be considered.
    • Experience with programming Allen Bradley, Siemens PLC’s and HMI’s & machine motion control
    • Experience with programming of Fanuc and Kuka robotics is highly desired.
    • Experience with Python, C, C++, VB.net, and VBA is highly desired.
    • Experience with FTView, Wonderware, iFix, Ignition, and other HMI/Scada software
    • Knowledgeable of AutoCAD and AutoCAD Electrical
    • Experience doing machine startups at customer job sites.
    • Must be willing to work in fast paced environment with tight timelines
    • Must be able to establish a good working relationship with LSI vendors and customers
    • Must be able to shift priorities and multitask as needed
    • Experience handling multiple projects
    COMMUNICATION SKILLS:
    Ability to respond to common inquiries from vendors and customers.  Ability to effectively present information to Engineering Manager and top management
