Job Description

A Controls Engineer designs, implements, and maintains control systems for industrial processes, ensuring they operate efficiently and safely. They work with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), human-machine interfaces (HMIs), and other automation technologies to optimize manufacturing and other industrial operations. This role involves troubleshooting issues, conducting system assessments, and staying updated on industry trends.

Controls Engineer 

Develop, source, and implement automated manufacturing equipment while
collaborating with cross-functional teams to test, validate, and deploy
it into production. Ideal for a hands-on engineer with strong analytical
skills, organization, and attention to detail.

Job Description:

- Lead equipment development from concept to production.

- Manage suppliers and internal teams through design, testing, and
deployment (PO release, FDR, FAT, SAT, SOP, Ramp).

- Define station requirements, automation strategies, and redundancy
plans.

- Collaborate with industrial engineering on material flow and utility
distribution strategies.

- Conduct PFMEA and develop equipment validation plans.

- Oversee equipment installation and coordinate with facilities teams.

- Develop detailed Manufacturing Instructions and timing charts for
equipment processes.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Controls, Chemical, or
Industrial Engineering (or equivalent).

- 3-4 years of hands-on manufacturing experience.

- Experience with new equipment design, manufacturing line
implementation, and industrial engineering principles.

- CAD design expertise (SolidWorks preferred, Catia a plus).

- Knowledge of equipment safety systems (PLCs, LOTO, guarding, light
curtains).

- PLC controls experience (Allen Bradley, Siemens, Beckhoff).

- MES and database system knowledge, including Python and MySQL.

- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally.
