Pay: $43-47/hr on W2, DOE
Job Summary
Medtronic is seeking a Controls Engineer to provide electrical and controls engineering support for manufacturing operations. The role will focus on manufacturing process improvements, equipment retrofits, automation projects, new equipment procurement, troubleshooting, and equipment qualification.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead manufacturing process improvements, equipment retrofit projects, and new equipment procurement.
- Provide electrical and controls support for automated manufacturing and assembly equipment.
- Develop and maintain electrical schematics, operating instructions, equipment specifications, parameter settings, software backups, and requirements specifications.
- Develop and execute FAT, SAT, and IQ/qualification protocols.
- Troubleshoot machine stoppages and perform root cause analysis.
- Provide technical support to maintenance and manufacturing teams.
- Develop equipment specifications and work with vendors on equipment quotations and designs.
- Review equipment quotes and participate in design reviews.
- Identify opportunities to improve Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE).
- Support automated and manual equipment design, integration, and implementation.
- Participate in DFMEA, PFMEA, Machine Risk Assessments, CTQ, and validation activities.
- Support equipment qualification and validation activities.
- Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, quality, maintenance, suppliers, and other cross-functional teams.

Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Controls Engineering, Electromechanical Engineering, or a related field preferred.
- 4+ years of relevant engineering experience required, or an advanced degree with 2+ years of relevant experience.
