Controls Engineer

Join our client, a leader in the high-performance battery separators sector, as a key member of the engineering team. In this position, you will oversee the design and optimization of equipment and parts within the production facility, focusing on enhancing productivity and reliability. You will continuously monitor and evaluate equipment performance through metrics such as uptime, MTBF, and more, with a focus on Electrical, Automation, Siemens Controllers, and Instrumentations.

Your role will include supporting the manufacturing operations by troubleshooting and resolving electrical control issues in mission-critical systems like E-Beam/LFE, Tension Control, and various weighing systems. You will devise and implement progressive plans to ensure equipment is up-to-date with the latest technologies and improve overall production efficiency through well-strategized CI activities.

Responsibilities will include planning and managing capital expenditure projects, providing guidance to supervisors and technicians regarding maintenance priorities and preventive measures, and overseeing spare parts inventory. You will be responsible for creating and documenting preventive and calibration procedures, especially during the commissioning of new or upgraded machinery. Additionally, you will act as a primary contact between IT and plant operations to address network-related challenges and maintain a flexible schedule, which includes weekend work and on-call duties.

We are looking for someone with a Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering and proficiency in AutoCAD and MSOffice. Your background in industrial automation and a fast-paced production environment, together with a solid grasp of Siemens PLCs and HMI software programming, will make you a perfect fit. Expertise in network troubleshooting and various controllers, programming, and tuning of motor drives is essential. An understanding of extrusion, web handling systems, and P&IDs will set you apart.
