Are you ready to build your career by joining an engineering solutions company? If so, our client is hiring a Controls Engineer.
Position Type:
- Direct Hire
- On-Site
- Location: Chesterfield, MO
- Requires 50% travel
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Control Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or Computer Science.
- 4-15 years of experience in relevant industries.
- Proficient in PLC, PAx, Servo System platforms (Rockwell Automation, Siemens S7/T3000, Modicon, Kinetix Servo Systems).
- Expertise in HMI/SCADA platforms (Wonderware, Rockwell FactoryTalk, Ignition, etc.).
- SQL database management and scripting skills.
- Design electrical schematics, power distribution, and control panels.
- Experience with AutoCAD LT/AutoCAD Electrical.
- Valid driver's license and passport; ability to travel internationally.
Preferences:
- AA in Engineering Technology with equivalent experience.
- Experience in Food and Beverage, Building Management Systems, Oil & Gas, Grain Handling, or Wood Products industries.
- Familiarity with safety requirements in relevant industries.
- Understanding of auxiliary equipment in plant environments.
Responsibilities:
- Manage project requirements including PLC/Servo Control System programming, HMI/SCADA programming, control panel design, and commissioning.
- Develop control system architecture, select components, and program controllers.
- Design network architecture for control systems interfacing with communication protocols.
- Write operational philosophy and sequence of operation documents.
- Assist with start-up and debug of integrated systems.
- Develop procedural documentation and system documentation.
