Controls Engineer

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Controls Engineer to support industrial automation and manufacturing operations. This is a hands-on role focused on programming, troubleshooting, controls integration, equipment reliability, and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Program, troubleshoot, and optimize PLC, HMI, and VFD systems
• Support controls integration across automated manufacturing equipment
• Troubleshoot electrical and controls-related equipment issues
• Work with robotics, conveyors, vision systems, and automated inspection equipment
• Maintain and update electrical schematics and controls documentation
• Identify opportunities to improve equipment reliability, efficiency, and performance
• Assist with automation upgrades and continuous-improvement projects
• Work collaboratively with engineering, maintenance, and production teams

Qualifications

• 5+ years of controls engineering or industrial programming experience
• Strong PLC, HMI, and VFD programming and troubleshooting skills
• Experience with mechatronics, automation, or controls integration
• Strong manufacturing-equipment troubleshooting ability
• Experience with robotics, conveyors, vision systems, or automated inspection equipment
• Ability to read and maintain electrical schematics
• Lean or Six Sigma experience is preferred
