Controls Engineer - Commissioning & Startup
Location:Little Rock, Arkansas
Contract Duration: Initial project through September 2026
Rotation: 10 days on / 4 days off preferred (alternative rotations considered)

Darwin is supporting a leading industrial automation business with the rapid expansion of their commissioning team for multiple large-scale manufacturing facilities across the US.
We are looking for Controls Engineers with experience in commissioning, startup, and troubleshooting automated systems within manufacturing, logistics, warehouse, or distribution environments.
This is an excellent opportunity to join fast-moving projects with significant overtime potential and the possibility of ongoing work across future sites.
Responsibilities
- Support commissioning and startup activities on automated material handling systems
- Troubleshoot and modify Rockwell ControlLogix ladder logic
- Perform system testing, fault finding, and operational optimisation
- Support IO checks and field commissioning activities
- Work closely with site teams, technicians, and project leadership to ensure successful system delivery
- Provide hands-on support during live operational ramp-up phases
Required Experience
- Experience with Rockwell ControlLogix PLCs
- Ability to troubleshoot and make basic ladder logic corrections
- Previous commissioning or startup experience within industrial automation environments
- Ability to travel and work rotational schedules
