About the Opportunity
A specialized industrial engineering organization is seeking a Controls Designer to support the development of mission-critical control systems. This is a high-impact role where your work directly ensures safety, regulatory compliance, and operational performance in demanding industrial environments.
What You’ll Do
Design instrumentation and control systems for those critical systems
Develop I/O lists, control narratives, wiring diagrams, and panel layouts
Support PLC-based control system architecture (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, etc.)
Work closely with mechanical and process engineers to ensure safe system operation
Participate in FAT/SAT, commissioning, and system startup
Help define safety systems including ESD, detection, and shutdown logic
What You Bring
3–5+ years in controls or instrumentation engineering
Experience with P&IDs, process control loops, and industrial automation
Exposure to PLC systems and control panel design
Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally
Degree in Electrical Engineering, Controls, or related field (preferred)
Nice to Have
Experience in oil & gas, chemical processing, power generation, or similar industries
Exposure to hazardous environments or safety systems
