    Oxford Solutions is working with a client seeking a Controls & Automation Engineer to support industrial electrical and automation systems. This role is an equal mix of hands-on troubleshooting and commissioningas well as controls design and programming.

    The engineer will also assist with electrical projects, equipment issues, and plant support activities when not focused on programming.

    Responsibilities

    • Program, configure, and troubleshoot industrial control systems
    • Support equipment commissioning, startup, and field troubleshooting
    • Design and modify electrical control systems and panel layouts
    • Develop and update PLC and HMI programs using Rockwell and Allen-Bradley platforms
    • Diagnose electrical, controls, and automation issues
    • Assist with electrical projects, system upgrades, and equipment improvements
    • Create and maintain electrical drawings, specifications, and technical documentation
    • Ensure control panels and electrical installations comply with the National Electrical Code and applicable safety standards
    • Work with maintenance, engineering, and operations teams to improve equipment reliability and performance

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline
    • Strong experience programming Rockwell and Allen-Bradley control systems
    • Hands-on experience troubleshooting and commissioning industrial equipment
    • Knowledge of electrical controls, control panel design, and industrial hardware
    • Working knowledge of the National Electrical Code
    • Ability to read and develop electrical schematics and control drawings
    • Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to work in a hands-on industrial environment
