Venteon Finance is currently seeking a qualified CONTROLLER for a growing construction-related client.
REQUIREMENTS for the Controller role
Bachelor s degree in Accounting or Finance
7+ years of progressive experience
Construction or Contracting industry experience
Understanding of Job Costs and WIP
Supervisory experience as either a Controller, Assistant Controller or Accounting Manager
RESPONSIBILITIES of the Controller role
Oversee the month-end and year-end closing processes to ensure timely and accurate financial statements
Prepare and analyze monthly financial packages, including profit and loss, balance sheets, and cash flow statements
Coordinate with the CFO on the preparation of annual budgets and rolling financial forecasts
Manage banking relationships and monitor daily cash flow to support operational needs
Maintain the Work in Progress (WIP) schedule, ensuring accurate revenue recognition
Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal requirements
Coordinate annual audits
Supervise and mentor accounting staff (Payroll, Accounts Payable, and Staff Accountant).
