Job Details

Our client, a well-established and growing manufacturing organization, is seeking an experienced Corporate Controller to oversee the accounting and financial reporting functions for multiple operating companies.

This leadership role will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy of financial reporting, maintaining strong internal controls, managing day-to-day accounting operations, and partnering with executive leadership to support sound financial decision-making.

The ideal candidate brings a strong background in manufacturing accounting, including cost accounting, ERP systems, and financial analysis.

Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the general ledger and all accounting operations for multiple entities.
  • Prepare timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Lead the month-end and year-end close processes.
  • Analyze financial results and provide meaningful reporting to executive leadership.
  • Supervise the Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions.
  • Manage banking relationships, cash management activities, and account reconciliations.
  • Oversee insurance programs and provide recommendations related to risk management and coverage.
  • Maintain strong internal controls and ensure compliance with GAAP.
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and strategic financial planning initiatives.
  • Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and operational efficiencies.
  • Partner with operations leadership to monitor manufacturing costs, inventory, and profitability.
  • Assist with external audits and tax preparation activities as needed.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required.
  • Minimum of 7 years of progressive accounting experience within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong understanding of cost accounting and manufacturing financial processes.
  • Experience preparing financial statements and managing the general ledger.
  • Prior supervisory experience leading accounting teams.
  • Experience overseeing Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable.
  • Strong knowledge of ERP systems.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • CPA designation is a plus but not required.
