About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced Controller to lead the accounting and financial operations of a growing organization. This role will oversee accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, audits, treasury functions, and compliance while serving as a strategic partner to executive leadership.

The Controller will play a critical role in driving financial performance, ensuring reporting accuracy, strengthening internal controls, and supporting the organization's continued growth.

Key Responsibilities

• 
  
• Lead all accounting and financial operations activities.
• 
  
• Manage financial reporting and support relationships with the parent organization.
• 
  
• Prepare monthly financial statements, including:

  • Income Statement
  • 
    
  • Balance Sheet
  • 
    
  • Cash Flow Statement
  • 
    
  
  
• 
  
• Develop and present monthly financial and operational performance reporting.
• 
  
• Analyze results against budget, forecasts, and prior-period performance.

• Lead the annual budgeting and planning process.
• 
  
• Coordinate annual financial audits, retirement plan audits, and tax compliance activities.
• 
  
• Oversee accounts receivable operations and collections efforts.
• 
  
• Manage accounts payable activities and vendor payment processes.
• 
  
• Review reconciliations and ensure timely month-end close execution.
• 
  
• Oversee payroll activities in partnership with an external payroll provider.
• 
  
• Manage treasury, cash flow, and related reporting requirements.
• 
  
• Maintain banking relationships and support compliance reporting.
• 
  
• Strengthen internal controls and accounting procedures.
• 
  
• Support ERP and systems enhancement initiatives.
• 
  
• Ensure compliance with IFRS and applicable financial reporting requirements.

Qualifications

• 
  
• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 
  
• Progressive accounting leadership experience as a Controller, Assistant Controller, or Accounting Manager.
• 
  
• Strong working knowledge of IFRS and financial reporting.
• 
  
• Experience leading month-end close, budgeting, forecasting, and audit processes.
• 
  
• Strong understanding of accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and treasury functions.
• 
  
• Experience supporting ERP implementations or financial system improvements is highly preferred.
• 
  
• Proven leadership abilities with strong communication and team development skills.
• 
  
• Ability to partner effectively with executive leadership and provide strategic financial insight.
