Controller (Contract) - Accounting & Finance | On-Site (Cranberry, PA Area)
Overview:
A growing and well-established organization is seeking a hands-on Controller (contract) to support their team during a high-volume, fast-paced period. This is a critical role for someone who can step in immediately, provide leadership, and ensure accounting operations stay on track.
This is a full-time, on-site opportunity.
About the Role
This is a high-impact, roll-up-your-sleeves Controller role. You will operate at both a strategic and tactical level-leading the team while also jumping into the day-to-day accounting work as needed.
The environment is fast-paced, and processes may not be fully defined, so this role requires someone who is comfortable bringing structure, identifying gaps, and improving workflows.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and support core accounting functions, including:
Account reconciliations
Journal entries
Month-end close activities
Provide leadership and direction to the accounting team while serving as a key presence in the office
Step in across AR, AP, and general accounting functions as needed to support business demands
Identify process gaps, inefficiencies, and issues-and proactively implement solutions and improvements
Help stabilize and organize accounting workflows during a high-demand period
Support timely financial reporting and operational execution
What We're Looking For
Strong accounting background with the ability to perform at a Senior Accountant level and above
Leadership experience with the ability to guide and support a team
A proactive self-starter who can identify priorities and take ownership without direction
Proven ability to find problems, solve issues, and improve processes
Comfortable working in fast-paced, evolving environments with limited structure
Willingness to be both hands-on and strategic
ERP experience preferred (NetSuite or similar is a plus, but not required)
Work Environment
On-site, full-time role
Flexible start times (early morning start preferred)

Pay Details: $55.00 to $67.00 per hour
