    A well-established public accounting firm is seeking a highly experienced Controller / Office Manager to lead its Client Accounting Services (CAS) department. This role requires an expert in bookkeeping, payroll, and staff supervision, ideally someone who has spent significant time working within a CPA firm environment. This is a leadership opportunity for someone who thrives in a hands-on role and enjoys being a technical resource for a growing team.


    Key Responsibilities


    ·      Oversee and manage the Client Accounting Services team, including bookkeepers and payroll specialists

    ·      Serve as the go-to resource for complex bookkeeping, payroll, and accounting questions

    ·      Review and finalize bookkeeping work prepared by staff before delivery to clients

    ·      Ensure timely and accurate preparation of payrolls, financial statements, reconciliations, and related reports

    ·      Implement and improve internal systems, workflows, and accounting technologies

    ·      Train and mentor staff on current tools, client handling, and accounting standards

    ·      Maintain strong relationships with clients and internal partners to ensure high-quality service delivery


    Qualifications


    ·      5–10+ years of experience in bookkeeping and accounting, preferably in a CPA or public accounting firm

    ·      Strong leadership and team management skills

    ·      Deep technical knowledge in QuickBooks, payroll systems, and cloud-based accounting tools

    ·      Experience supervising or reviewing staff-level work

    ·      Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail

    ·      Strong interpersonal and communication skills

    ·      Experience with workflow optimization and technology adoption in an accounting setting
