Position Summary

The role involves overseeing financial reporting, accounting governance, and finance operations for a shared service entity. It focuses on enhancing financial processes, optimizing systems, and managing data governance. The position requires collaboration with finance leadership, auditors, technology teams, and other stakeholders to ensure accurate and timely financial information.

Requirements

  • 10 years of accounting experience
  • CPA license preferred
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting
  • Experience in the financial services industry

Key Responsibilities

Financial Reporting & Management

  • Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes.
  • Supervise a team responsible for month-end close activities.
  • Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP in financial reporting.
  • Conduct financial analysis to identify business drivers and risks.
  • Coordinate financial report submissions to various stakeholders.

Shared Services & Operations

  • Provide accounting support across multiple entities.
  • Monitor intercompany transactions and cost allocations.
  • Collaborate with various departments to resolve issues.
  • Standardize processes to improve efficiency and service quality.

Process Improvement & Transformation

  • Lead initiatives for finance process automation and standardization.
  • Work with IT and business teams on system enhancements.
  • Develop solutions to enhance data integrity and reduce risks.
  • Support strategic changes in finance infrastructure and reporting.

Accounting Knowledge

  • Understanding of various accounting standards such as ASC 360, ASC 606, ASC 842, and more.
  • Experience with prepaid expenses, fixed asset accounting, and intercompany transactions.
