Controller

CBIZ Talent Solutions is seeking a hands-on Controller for a growing healthcare group to be the key accounting leader for a group of companies with shared-services allocations. This role is highly operational. The position is either on-site in Nassau County, NY or can be remote with travel to the location 4-8x per year.

Responsibilities

• Lead the monthly close, reconciliations, and preparation of accurate, timely financial statements for multiple entities.
• Process intercompany transactions and reconciliations across several legal entities.
• Maintain and enhance advanced Excel allocation models for shared services.
• Manage and optimize AP/AR, payroll, cash management, and general ledger processes; oversee partner bill-pay workflow.
• Build, document, and improve accounting policies, controls, and procedures.
• Partner with leadership on budgeting, forecasting, and decision support.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or MBA a plus.
• 7+ years of progressive accounting experience; prior Controller or Assistant Controller experience in a multi-entity healthcare shared-services environment.
• Expert in QuickBooks and advanced Excel.
• Proven strength in intercompany accounting, allocations, and multi-entity consolidations.
• Hands-on, transactional mindset with strong analytical problem-solving skills.

Compensation

• Base salary target: $110,000–$165,000 plus annual bonus - depending on location and skills.
