Construction Controller

Stellar opportunity to work for a growing grading and land development company seeking a hands-on Construction Controller to serve as the CFO’s right hand on the accounting side. The company specializes in land development, erosion control, slope failures, creek crossings, stream restoration, and complex site projects. The position is located in north Atlanta and is hybrid working. Total compensation is up to $140k.

What you’ll do:

• Own job costing, WIP, percentage-of-completion, and project profitability
• Lead month-end close, financial reporting, budgeting, and cash flow
• Oversee A/R, A/P, retainage, and subcontractor accounting
• Build and strengthen the accounting team, processes, and controls
• Provide management with reliable job-level financial information and insights

What we’re looking for:

• 10+ years accounting experience
• Strong construction/heavy civil/project accounting or related industry experience including manufacturing
• Job / Project or standard costing experience
• Strong ERP/accounting systems experience; QuickBooks a plus
• Hands-on leadership and team-building skills
• Construction economics and the direct impact on the financial performance of the business
