General Overview


Accounting leader responsible for overseeing the accounting function for a primary operating business and select additional affiliated entities within a diversified corporate structure.


Responsibilities

  • Provide full oversight of core accounting operations in alignment with established corporate policies and internal control frameworks
  • Lead revenue recognition processes and related internal controls in accordance with applicable accounting standards, including review of customer agreements
  • Deliver financial analysis and accounting support to operational leaders and executive management
  • Partner with corporate FP&A teams to support forecasting, performance reporting, and identification of operational improvement opportunities
  • Collaborate with centralized shared services teams supporting accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, and treasury functions
  • Work with corporate accounting resources on technical accounting matters, including debt, leases, and complex or non-routine transactions, and assist in the development and standardization of accounting policies
  • Maintain a strong internal control environment in support of compliance requirements
  • Support internal and external audits, as well as reviews conducted by lenders, insurers, and other third parties
  • Identify and drive process improvement and automation initiatives within accounting operations
  • Oversee and develop the accounting team, including workload prioritization, performance oversight, and participation in hiring decisions as needed
  • Communicate key financial and operational updates to senior accounting leadership
  • Perform additional duties as assigned based on evolving business needs
