Controller for CPA Firm  The Innovative CPA Group (ICG) is looking for a Controller to join our team in our Shelton, CT headquarters. We leverage the latest technology to streamline our workflow, thereby improving the service to our clients.  Essential Responsibilities: Oversee and present monthly/annual financial reports including monthly profit and loss by location, forecast vs. budget by location, etc.Assess and evaluate financial performance of firm with regard to long-term operational goals, budgets, and forecasts. Provide insight and recommendations to both short-term and long-term growth plan of organization.Lead financial due diligence for mergers and acquisitions, including in-depth review and analysis of target company financial statements, key performance metrics, and risk exposures.Supervise the accounting department to ensure the proper functioning of all systems, databases, and financial software. Provide regular maintenance and backup of all accounting systems and supervise company financial staff.Oversee the month-end close process, constantly reviewing procedures while eliminating inefficiencies.Manage cash flow planning process and ensure funds availability.Maintain outstanding banking relationships and strategic alliances with vendors and business partners.Oversee weekly cash management and AP Department, approve large payables, sign checks, authorize large wires and ACHs.Supervise Accounts Receivable management and provide guidance relating to the collection process. Skills and QualificationsAt least eight (8) years of Controller/CFO experienceExpert with QuickBooks OnlineOutstanding communication and presentation skillsDemonstrated leadership ability, confidence, and executive presence – ability to motivate staffExcellent analytical, reasoning, and problem-solving skillsSignificant experience working with external auditors, internal controls and compliance-related issues What You'll Love About Us:Competitive compensation, commensurate with experience401(k) plan with employer matchPaid health insurance for Employee, with dependent/spouse coverage at employee cost4 week's vacationOnsite gym membership (Shelton location)Flexible work hoursHybrid option are available for the right candidateBusiness casual attire
